Model Number Guide
locating your van model number
Your model number is located just behind the cab, on the driver’s side of your box. It consists of three letters followed by 6-11 numbers.
Ex: “BAV02601020102” is a model number. You may also find something like “PFV108696”.
Also listed on this tag is a serial number and a date. Keep the serial number handy if you do end up giving us a call, but otherwise you shouldn’t need it to find the parts you need.
Next Steps
Take a look at the filters for “van body dimensions” on the left hand side of your shop screen. You can now filter by the length, width, and height of your particular vehicle. The only results that will populate will be items that can be used in your model of box truck.
For example, if I wanted to search for my model number BAV26102102, I would click the “26L”, “102H”, and “102W” buttons as shown.
Now, you can shop worry-free, knowing that you have the right size parts!
What if my model number Looks Different?
Model numbers can look a little bit different, but the underlying format is the same. For example, your model number may look like “PFV-26-96-90”. It says all the same information (this is a plastic body, 26 feet long, 96 inches high, 90 inches wide), but is in a slightly different format.
If your model number does not match at all, you can give us a call at 478-696-6750 or email us at help@smyrnatruckparts.com.
Understanding The model Number
The first three letters indicate the type of truck. “BAV” stands for an aluminum body. For most purposes, this won’t affect the parts you buy.
The first number will indicate a length, in feet. For example, the truck with this model number is 18 feet long.
The second number will indicate height, in inches. For example, the truck with this model number is 90 inches tall.
The third number will indicate width, in inches. For example, the truck with this model number is 96 inches wide.
